It's 3 a.m....

Good morning...Obed is wide awake, and thus, so are we. He nursed, he fussed, I checked his diaper, nothing doing. He fussed some more. We had a discussion about the sounds he was making, looked up the Baby Speaks lady, and pretty much decided he was still hungry. So now he is nursing again. I tried to tell him it is 3 am. He looked at me like I was speaking Greek. Well, it was more like he didn't care rather than he didn't understand. I think he probably knows that I'm happy to be awake holding him regardless of the time and he is taking advantage of it. We'll see how long this lasts.

The nursery wanted to recheck his temperature an hour after he broke out earlier tonight. She (a now very nice and well-liked nurse who's mom apparently used to be our postmaster in Oldfield and whose cousin works in the ER) came to check and yea!! his temp was 98 degrees. So he stayed. So did the nurse for about 15 minutes chatting it up. Was nice to smooth things with her since was a little tense over the phone when she had to tell Deborah that Obed wasn't coming right back earlier on after his bath.

Obed is now nursing to the sound of McCain and Obama (recap of debate)...wait, he's done. Maybe sleep will now come. First, he wants to share a picture he made earlier on his birthday with his coolest biggest brother ever, Garrett.
